Happy Birth Day, Vera!

On 12/12/12 at 4:07pm, we welcomed our second daughter Vera Leigh. She weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 13oz and was 22 inches long.
The delivery itself went pretty smoothly but we were sure glad to be home two days later!
So far, she has been a fantastic baby, spending about 23.5 hours of the day blissfully asleep. Seeing her tiny face and watching her funny little expressions as she dreams, I have realized how fast time has gone by and its so bittersweet to see Remley and Rhett so much bigger in comparison! Thus, my recommitment to recap these memories through this blog.. So here comes my New Year's resolution a few weeks early....

Friends Mary Shannon Swanson and Traci Floyd were kind enough to throw a last minute lunch shower for me. Many neighborhood friends came out for a lovely afternoon and I was showered with lots of useful gifts and a special afternoon.

We went to Clemson for the Georgia Tech game. Unfortunately, the Tigers did not win, but we sure had fun.

Cousins!

It was a big crowd at Thanksgiving this year, with family from far away. Aunt Kiki, 2-star General Uncle Dave, Sarah, Hailey, Clare, Davey, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Paul, Adam, Noah, Savanna, Uncle Tim, and Rita joined us in South Carolina.

Remley's class performed a special program for Thanksgiving (she was a Native American  and invited us for soup and cider.
