Go Green!

~Cheers!~
Well, why not?! It seems the politically correct and responsible thing to do these days. So, we found ourselves in Columbia with Mickey, Lacey, and about 10 million other people to partake in the St Patrick's Day fun. Good music, good friends and good times! Wink, wink :)

Thirty Three and a Big Oak Tree

Happy Birthday David! The day was spent relaxing, a little time outdoors savoring the spring weather at Folly Beach, and enjoying some great food, like blackened tuna nachos with watermelon salsa. Remley and Rhett made cupcakes for Daddy, which they happily devoured after a delicious leg of lamb dinner.

This week we also took a trip to the Angel Oak tree, which is reportedly the oldest thing -- living or man-made -- east of the Rockies. Angel Oak is a live oak tree aged approximately 1,500 years and is right down the street from us.With its wide spread canopy touching the ground, it was hard to keep the kids off of it!

School Days... movin' on up!!

Both kids have been moved up into new classes at school and are doing great.
It initially took Rhett a little while to get used to things, but he soon learned to love his very first class with Ms. Rachael.

Rhett is still in the main school and his teachers are Ms. Heather and Ms. Kerry. He is one of only 3 boys in a class of 15 girls, and being such a flirt already, I am pretty sure we are in for some trouble!

Remley is in the bigger classroom outside, and she likes to think of it as "kindergarten" - thank goodness it is just "practice kindergarten." Soon enough, little one! Remley's current best friend in her new class, Lotus- a freckled red head tall girl, towers over her and runs and greets her with bear hugs, strong enough to pick her up!

Remley is turning into quite the girly girl, insisting on wearing dresses every day and blowing on dandelions wishing she could become a beautiful princess. She chose to take ballet and tap class after trying gymnastics and playing soccer last  year.

While Rhett is as sweet as sugar, he is definitely all boy!

Better late than never...

Ok, so I have decided to start this blog to hopefully help serve to improve my memory as the years seem to be flying by. Already, my baby girl is 4 years old and her brother is catching up to her, turning 3 in only two short months. I wish I would have started this sooner... but I suppose better late than never!

I thought I would use pictures to recapture what I wasn't able to blog to bring us up to speed. First comes love... then comes marriage....

Here comes Remley in the baby carriage!

Next, comes Rhett!!

The year flies by and suddenly Remley is 2!

Rhett's first birthday was spent with Mickey Mouse!!
