Mother's Day weekend

I had a great Mother's Day weekend! Saturday I spent time with my own mom, shopping, taking a terrarium class, and enjoying dinner together. Sunday the children had so many handmade gifts for me, some of which were amusing. Like Rhett's mom questionnaire that said when I was little, I like to play with "my brother" - somehow my dad used to be my brother... 

 

He also made me breakfast in a bag, as well as gave me one of his special $2 bill, reminding me the other day I said I didn't have any of the green paper money!

Remley made some great things also and I was moved to tears at the gift from her teacher... No more homework!! 

We all spent the morning at the beach and David and I actually got to sit down after Vera decided she liked it! 

I spent the afternoon roller skating with Remley and Rhett. I will take any chance I get to hold hands with my little boy Rhett, who is still getting the hang of it. Remley truly looked like a flying toothpick whipping around out there! David grilled perfection steaks for dinner! I enjoyed my day so much and am so thankful for my wonderful children, mother, and mother in law!
